Rashima Kerenmosa captured my attention since she was first mentioned. I decided to chose this rather unkown character (I mean, maybe not unknown but not an actual main character) who, to me, is the very description of Baddassery.
"Rashima was born circa 1150 AB, during the Trolloc Wars. She joined the Aes Sedai and was raised to the Green Ajah. In 1251 AB, she became the Amyrlin Seat, the most powerful position on the continent. Whilst all Amyrlins during the Trolloc Wars had been more martial than their peacetime counterparts, Rashima took this to new extremes. She served directly as a general and battle leader, rather than relying on advice from a Warder or general. She fought in person rather than relying on others. Rashima is credited with restoring morale to the faltering Ten Nations after the destruction of Aridhol and Manetheren, with Trolloc armies ranging as far south as Barashta on the Sea of Storms.
Rashima led the defence of Tar Valon when the Trollocs broke into the city and partially razed it circa 1290 AB. She began diplomatic and military overtures that led to a string of major victories for the Ten Nations over the next ten years, most notably at Kaisin Pass, the Sorelle Step, Larapelle and Tel Norwin. Rashima's efforts culminated at the Battle of Maighande in 1301 AB, where the nations achieved a decisive victory over the Trollocs. Although not the final victory - tracking down and destroying all the remaining Trolloc bands would take another fifty years - it broke the back of the Shadowspawn invasion.
Rashima died during the battle, along with her five Warders. Around their bodies a wall of Trolloc and Myrddraal corpses was found, along with the bodies of no fewer than nine Dreadlords."
So, if baddass is what you want, this woman is everything you need. She's considered the very image of what a Green must be. Nine dreadlords and a wall of Trolloc corpses? I just LOVE HER! xD
This is my personal image of the woman. Of course I think I exagerated to give her "Green-ish" and legendary features; fierce, beautiful, wearing amazing clothes. I gave her light blonde hair and golden eyes with tanned skin because I imagine her like a golden statue x'D
PD: A HORSE! I DREW A KSADFKLF HORSE!! I'm so happy, I usually suck at drawing animals xDDD This one looks too delicate thpugh, I wanted to draw a fierce stallion but this one looks more like a mare to me .-.
Really well done. I love when people chose an interesting sub character to focus on. And your art style is awesome - the horsey looks spectacular btw. My favourite Sedai remains Verin, who turned out to be pretty bad ass in a different, Brown Ajah sort of way.
The lines are so clean and crisp it looks like a professional comic book. Her horse looks appropriately terrified of the situation- but I love the set of her jaw and how the shawls just so casual on her!
Waaaaaa I might just build you a statue! Ever since reading about her, Rashima Kerenmosa has been a figure that always tickled my imagination, but I've never been able to find a single picture of her.. I was beginning to despair and going on about why the hell no one but me apparently ever thought of drawing such a COOL character! 'Cause she's bloody cool, and no one gave a fig about her, poor woman! Thank you for drawing her, it's a really good pic! And the horse looks just fine to me
Thank you!! I thought exactly as you did so I HAD to draw her!! I didn't have like a strong image of her (because she's never physically described)so I made her up xDDD I think she looks good though, quite exotic!
Problem with having so many characters in the series (most of them Aes Sedai or others who have names but are so hard to differentiate from each other) is that characters who played a major role in WoT history are often forgotten since the events don't concern them.
I agree with you, so many interesting characters just get mixed up or are not considered important because they do not have any influence in the main story. That's why I'm a WoT wiki addicted; always reading the stories of those mostly forgotten :3
I absolutely love this! Your skills are amazing. Only one thing bothers me; on the portion of stole across her left arm, the colors are reversed as if some how the stole got tangeled up and twisted. Excellent work though, badass indeed
Light O_o Omfg I love it. The sky is awesome. Only the sky would make me love this. Then her weaves. The horse (a fierce one, even if it does seem a bit princess-like ^^)! And Rashima Sedai. That's a good choice, not too obvious but then just perfect. Her choice of clothing is interesting (boobs!), after all it's a battle, no matter how Aes Sedai and Amyrlin's Seat she is. At least her hair ain't open The atmosphere, the colours, the whole thing... Once more: O_o I like your style very much! :3
I thought that someone like her would be fond of showing some skin x'DDDD Greens do so, more than the others (except Yellows, who pay a lot of attention to their clothing and appearance as well xD), and Rashima, being like the ultimate Green... I just needed to draw her showing her attributes xDDD
Maybe I should have given the horse another color @@... But wll, White and Black horses are so elegant and, anfter all, it's the Amyrlin's horse.

I could not agree with you more on her character. I always found her character/legend/story/whatever you want to call it fascinating...probably since baddass women in my opinion just rock. I love the color scheme too. As for the horse it probably looks more like a mare to you for a number of reasons...the main being that the head is down in more of a submissive stance than a fierce one.
It is my very first horse-looking horse (I've drawn a few unicorn attempts xD)so drawing a difficult pose would have been just too... Difficult xD But now that I see it, it contributes to the Aes Sedai "Calmness".
