Awww, this is one of those works tht I cannot stop looking at <3 I'm really pleased with the results! And I CAN draw manly men it seems xD
I love star crossed lovers, I can't help it, and these two's romance is the best one EVER. In the old tongue, mashiara means “beloved of the heart, but a love lost”.
"I will never shame you. I will hate the man you choose because he is not me, and love him if he makes you smile. No woman deserves the sure knowledge of widow's black as her brideprice, you least of all." al'Lan Mandragoran - The Eye of the World p. 731, Robert Jordan
->favourite quote T_T this part makes me cry but I can't stop reading it! (Masochist who?)
Nynaeve al'Meara and Lan Mandragoran belong to Robert Jordan Art: Me! Texture:
YAY! I've finally found a drawing of Nynaeve the looks the way I imagine her. She's my favourite character even topping Mat. Previously in fantsay books I'd equated strong, independent women to annoying, man-hatting slut but Nynaeve showed me that this is not neccesarily the case.
that quote just made me realize there's a typo in Eye of the World. they wear white for mourning, it should be a widow's white. I neve'r thought about that part before, either way, this is one of my favorite quotes too.
Sorry I didn't comment when I faved, I'm trying to get better about that, but was really out of it last night. ... That was last night, right? >.>
Anyway, not only am I into it because I'm just recently returning to WoT since quitting around the time book eight was published, (thus bringing me to look up more current wot fanart), but I think the thing that really hooked me on this piece was the way you framed it up with that flowering branch. I like the way it gives the piece a swirling flow and complete feeling at the same time.
